The HammerStick Collection represents a personalizing of basic hand tools and other objects, as each sculptural piece reveals a distinct stance and unique personality. Selected from a vast stock of vintage hammer heads, axe heads, and other tools, each head is paired with a naturally formed wooden tripod or quadripod in order to create a union that brings the object to life. After careful fitting and minimal sculpting, the HammerStick is finished with several coats of high quality marine varnish and oil based sign painter’s enamel paint. A HammerStick proves useful as a decoration, companion or metaphor.
